Hello community,
when I upgraded my contract 18 months ago I was given and additional SIM card for my daughter. I am now ready to give it to her. So the SIM card has it’s own phone number. I think that when I took out my contract the man in the EE shop said that it was part of my contract. Does anyone know where I can find out what sort of plan my daughter will have on said SIM card (unlimited minutes etc) please? I am dense at this sort of stuff so please don’t think me daft if the answer is simple.

Hi @Sophie0403
Thanks for coming to the community.
Does the number show on your bill?
You can view this within your My EE account and then Bills&Payments and view your bill.
This will be her number and the allowance information showing will be how many minutes and texts she will have on the plan.
If you think she will need more minutes or data, please give is a call on 150 our Mobile Care team will help with the plan 🙂
Leanne.

Hi @Sophie0403 and welcome!
If the SIM has its own number, then it is either a PAYG SIM (in which case nothing to do with your monthly plan) or a pay-monthly SIM which has its own plan.
You can have multiple plans on the same billing account and if so, this number will be on your current bill. The best place will be to look at your most recent bill, which should show the plan it is on, and also what the allowances are.

Hi,
thank you for your reply. I have found that if I go through to family usage I can change which number I am looking at at it says that the other number (my daughters) has 250 minutes and unlimited text messages. I think this means it is part of my plan and I am already paying for it as part of my contract.

Hi Leanne
i have just checked my bill and noticed that I have been charged £8 a month for this SIM card. I explained to the gentleman in the shop (18 months ago) that I was not ready to give it to her yet. Is there anything I can do about getting this refunded or as I signed a contract do I just have to suck it up??
p.s I’m not a Karen

Hi @Sophie0403.
Thanks for coming back to us.
Once a contract has been taken out and starts the payments will also begin.
If you would like to look into this further I would recommend re-visiting the store in which you took the SIM contract out.
I hope this helps,
Katie 🙂
