Long story short.
Moved to ee broadband found the connection was rubbish. Lots of lag so changed to 4gee wifi.
The BB team did some calcs and came back to confirm id used an average of 40gig in a month. So recommend the 100gig package would be more than enough.
Extra couple of quid but ok for a faster and more stable line.
I burned through that data within a week, called back and they upped it to 200gig 5 days later and that's nearly gone.
Just to put things into perspective I'd need a 500gig min at this rate.
The problem is while I was waiting for the BB to be installed originally (covid) the bb team had to keep adding 50gig bundles to my mobile so I could hot spot.
That data lasted nearly 4 weeks before another top up was needed.
It seems to me the data on the 4gee wifi burns a lot quicker than the normal data on a mobile tariff.
All running the same kit, ps4, tablet, mobile and work computer.
I've already registered a complaint but there definitely something not right with the 4gee.

Hi @Johnwtaylor,
Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂
Mobile broadband uses the same amount of data for the same as task as fixed line broadband.
Do you use any streaming services? You may find that some services automatically adjust the streaming quality, based on your download speeds. If your speed has increased, these services could be using more data than they used to.
Thanks
James
