4g EE WiFi is not working

Mindy7

I am having to send this using ordinary 4g, because the very expensive 4gee WiFi I pay for is not working again. If I reset it, it sometimes works for a little while then stops. I need to use my desktop computer for work, but I can’t because it can’t connect to the internet through WiFi or LAN.

On my device settings, the WiFi connection looks like it’s active, but I can’t go to any websites. I am also getting a “weak security” error message, which shouldn’t be happening with the settings I am using.

Does anybody know how I can fix it?

Hi @Mindy7,

Welcome to the EE Community. 🙂

Can other devices still use the internet via your 4GEE WiFi when your desktop has this issue?

Thanks

Hi @Mindy7

Are you trying to use a VPN over your connection from your computer?

Have you tried flushing your DNS settings on your PC?

Thanks

New.  Set up at shop.  Now trying to get device connected.  Mini has all 4 lights lit but device will not find or connect.  Tried to switch off but it will not. Got very hot so had to take battery out. Once cooled put battery in again and same problem

Hi @Nimk1.

Welcome to the community.

Are you able to do a pin reset of your device?

If you can locate the pin reset hole on the back of the device, then press and hold this for 15 seconds using a pin, the device will be reset.
