failed to connect a 2 months ago, since then numerous calls with support revealed there had been an 'incident' affecting all 4gee mobile broadband users and this was being fixed... wait a week and you'll be fine, in the meantime here's some free data on your phone to use as a standin mobile hotspot...
well, it's been 4 weeks... constant battery/sim removal/reset theatre has resulted in NOTHING...
still no connection, and my elderly mother in law's only online access point is running out of data...
would really like to know what the hell is going on!

Can you explain what's actually happening when you try to use your 4G mobile device?
There's no "incident" of the type you mention, but if you explain what's happening with your device, I'm sure someone can assist with resolving it.
Do you have any problems with the EE phone that you've referred to?

Would you be confident in moving the 4GEE SIM to a suitable mobile phone to also check the data behaviour there?

after a 10 second power cycle (hold the button down wait for ten seconds) or after re-insertion of the battery, all the blue lights come on, then go off... then the signal light comes back on briefly (blue) then turns red... and stays red.....
i can connect to the router, but it has no external internet connection
this in an area with good coverage
the ee mobile has a solid connection (using that as backup internet access)

could try swapping the SIM, i'm not at the same location as the phone/router until friday pm... so it will have to wait until then i'm afraid

Should be like shooting fish in a barrel, as you have both a spare device and a spare SIM. You should be able to see whether the problem follows the SIM or whether it follows the device. Fun times. 🤓
