I ordered mine on the 29th of September, and I’m still waiting too

Expected is different from Guaranteed.
Also going to the ombudsman would not give you access to potentially business sensitive information.

They have just told me on chat they have more stock available and to expect delivery in the next few days.
Not sure I believe it though!

They are lying about the first come first serve policy, I've just been told over the phone that it will take up to 28 days. I placed my order on 16/10 at 13:03.

It is possible. But I would trust any information I get from chat as far as I could throw a Range Rover SVR!
Best bet for a more honest chat is on the phone.

Yeah I'm convinced about this and even more so after hearing this from hundreds of people. This would largely count as false advertising under ASA rules so I'm fully intending to escalate it to them at some point and also make it very public

My delivery was due for delivery today via dpd and not had an update for time slot and then just got a message saying its been delayed at the sorting hub in Hinckley!! should now arrive Monday...F**king useless!!

Expected is not a Guarantee!
I get the frustration, we are all excited about getting our hands on this product. People’s delivery dates will move up the queue as there will be cancellations and Apple will be replenishing stock quicker than expected as they have been cancelling reseller orders where identified etc etc

Now that is annoying!
Have you spoken to EE, maybe they could request and Saturday drop.

Very big difference between expected delivery on release day and 28 days or more. Especially when it's sold as first come first serve and the data I'm collecting suggests this is quite possibly not the case.
