My questions would be, how does this growing number stack up against units sold. The nature of technology is things can go wrong. Sometimes it’s a manufacturing issue, sometimes it’s human error. The fact that people are still able to walk into stores and pick up phones from Apple, I would doubt they would leave people with a broken phone until January.

I’d be real and say anyone who has a “your order is coming soon” will be in the expected 17 Nov shipment. The fact you’ve (and I) have had no update would suggest that the system has you at the the top of the queue just doesn’t have a phone to assign to you yet. Tuesdays and Thursdays are generally when EE get shipments, I wouldn’t hold my breath until then, but who knows. It makes me kinda annoyed that my friends are all saying “walked into Apple casually today and picked up a duo with no queue.” I’ve had 3 friends all do that and now have the product in hand. I’m kinda torn between cancelling and going to the store and buying one and waiting to see if it comes this week. Ugh…. 1st world problems. Eh?

But it also depends on your provider or how far you are from an Apple Store. Some providers stipulate like T-Mobile in America it must be sent back to them as they own the device until you’ve paid it off etc not like in the uk. Where the phone is sim free from start and your free to do as you please.

American consumer rights are different to the UK, so the point is irrelevant mate. We have the right in the UK to go direct to the manufacturer

In exactly the same boat!!

From what I've researched, it looks like it could just be a specific batch or 1 of 2 suppliers who have supplied the hinge causing the issue

Customer service are useless phoned them and she told me the same thing if you go to order one now looks like more than 28 days . Realistically no one has a clue do they

So my dpd delivery was not delivered Friday, reason given a miss sort  at the Hinckley Hub, will be delivered Monday. So today has come round, no change on tracking so called the main dpd number and was told it had been scanned at the local delivery office and will be out today, I asked him to confirm that twice and was told yes. So didn't believe a word he said and got the local dpd depot number and asked. has not been scanned in at all, last seen Thursday at Hinckley and now has a code of 000 which means "lost or stolen". Called EE they do not have stock to send a new one out so have canceled the upgrade and order and asked for my £50 upfront cost and delivery cost to be refunded. Won't bother now as its taken the excitement away from getting it.

Does anyone else have your order is in hand check back later for a delivery date?

No? Have you? What date did you place your order?

Sent from my iPhone
