I hope you get it Friday but in all honesty they shouldn't be saying this to ppl if they had 10,000 in stock at 1pm launch and sold that wave in minutes or less then it'll go on next wave/in time/order reference,the operator doesn't know how many units are available to promise a delivery day hence last year ppl got stung saying same thing and ended up 1/2 weeks later,fingers crossed for you I hope get a nice surprise but I'd air on the side of caution just in case.

That’s the exact same experience I’ve had except I’ve only got a 00 order number, no confirmation and still can’t track :(. This was really helpful though!

I’m 100% not expecting it Friday but them saying Friday onwards is a lot better than saying release date. I’d like to think they have learnt from all these Apple releases but apparently not 😂

I ordered online yesterday I assumed it was an upgrade, however it seems it’s gone through as a 2nd line. So I didn’t realise Customer Service was open till 8pm today.
So I spoke to sales about a hour ago, who were able to give the same package only £1 more, for delivery next Friday as my original order. The agent did say if I went with any of the iPhone 17 Max models, I could have been looking 2-3weeks.

No email confirmation did you order via phoning up? Might be worth giving them a bell tomorrow just to clarify things there system is madness.

I originally did it online and then reordered via phone and still nothing 😭 they said it’s on the system and they can see it, they also gave me an order number that doesn’t work- so now I’m just nervously waiting. I feel like if it’s not a ‘real’ order I don’t want to waste time till Friday to find that out, if that makes sense

Yeah that seems a tad odd doesn't it you would of thought you'd at least have an email confirming this or at least a way to track the order,I know orders with XKO at the beginning are confirmation orders have been excepted and are being processed .

I can track my order but it just shows the arrow on order dispatched and on the dispatched part it shows nothing.

I’m hoping for a better year this time. Last year was the first time I had issues. My order for a PM went through fine, but the phone wasn’t picked, and I only found out on the Friday that it wouldn’t be coming. I then ordered a Pro instead, as that was the only device still available for next-day delivery, which meant I could still get a phone on the Saturday. That had problems too, because I only received a DPD notification in the app but no text with the pin. When I called DPD, they told me the mobile number they were given was linked to my Apple Watch, which can’t receive texts directly. Because of that, the delivery was delayed again until Sunday. It was quite stressful weekend after all that as it took multiple calls to fix with EE & DPD.
This year I was going to go for the 2TB PM, but I wasn’t keen on the £580 upfront cost, especially knowing full well I’ll only keep it for a year. If they’d let me spread it monthly, I could have used my 30% F&F discount and it would’ve been easier to get the green light from the Wife. So, I went for the Pro again and will rethink next year. To be fair, I’ve got used to the smaller size after this past year anyway. I was offered a 2-year plan on the 2TB PM without the upfront cost, but I prefer the annual upgrade path.
This time I’ve gone for the 1TB Pro in Orange and placed the order at 14:53hrs, after having to call back. First call took 10mins to get through, 2nd 1hr. I've got the email, tracking number etc.
