I ordered a 17 pro max silver 256gb on the 12th at 13:13 but my order is just showing as pre order confirmed on the EE tracking page. On Monday I received this text: "Hi from EE. Thanks for your order xko30000**** - we're getting it ready and we'll despatch it in 7 days. You'll get a PIN on the day of delivery - please give this to the driver. Head to ee.co.uk/track-mobile-order for more info."
Has anyone else received a text like this? I've not seen anyone mention it. Judging by the text it should be with me by Tuesday...

The rules change every time a conversation starts with EE. But based on what has been said so far, first come first serve seems to be the only consistent message so anything between 14 to 28 days based on whats been said in my opinion.
Perhaps try contacting live chat? Thats where I got my info and it seems to be the most reliable and logical information so far but still taking it with a pinch of salt.

Yes, I have received this text, but my dispatch estimate is 21 days.
So going by that, I should get mine around 5th October which happens to be a Sunday, so hopefully the Friday before. If not then I bet itll be some time the week after.

Heh, didn't even notice DPD already sent a code, no actual tracking information yet, just the code they send to give the courier.

Just seen this! Their tweet reads:
‘I've double-checked the stock tables and if the order was placed after roughly 3.30pm on 12th September, the expected dispatch time is more than 28 days.‘
I had my confirmation at 3:37 and placed my order over the phone so will just have to wait and see what happens🥲

Seems like the people waiting now are for pro max devices. I guess they are the ones that are most popular for all retailers at the moment including apple themselves.
From my limited research and back and forth with ChatGPT. It seems like colours that apple think will be popular are restocked first, that being said Blue seems to be the safe choice with orange being the new out there choice, and silver I don't think has ever been a huge favourite.
That correlates with what I saw on the EE shop earlier yesterday. Where every other colour (all options for storage) said after 28 days, whereas all blue options bar 256 said 14 days.
My other provider where I ordered a 512 Orange PM have confirmed I'll have it by the 4th (they'll have the stock) when I contacted CS he said my original quoted date (26th September) is when id get mine but that's just an automatic message sent when the stock allocation is altered on their end.
EDIT:
That being said my 512 Blue PM order with EE. Hoping they have the same stock allocation dates as my other provider, should be delivered by the 4th (14 days after launch day) or before that. Don't take this as truth. Just wishful thinking.
Ordered the orange one with other provider 13th in the afternoon. Ordered my original EE order on the Sunday early AM but that was cancelled so my blue one from EE was ordered on the 17th near the afternoon.

Best option is to use the app - I can never find it on the website. Tap on help on the bar at the bottom of the app home screen and there is an option at the top labelled "message us".
