Apple only has a limited number of devices readily available on launch day! The pre-order premise was to remove long queues outside the stores but the real big gain is finance! Pre-orders help boost their quarterly figures without  consumer every actually having to step into a store! 

it’s a tried and tested method that they’ve recognised controlling and drip feeding the stock help boost their quarterly results that can be pushed into Q4 Xmas period that then gives them record breaking sales that gives confidence to the shareholders! 

Pre-orders are purely a business move to boost finances! Nothing more.

Well I couldn’t help myself, had another live chat with EE and now they saying I might actually get my order Friday.

5 different answers in the last 3 days, at this rate I have no idea when I will get my order, unless I get an email confirmation or text from DPD or something similar in the next 48hrs or so.

Would you be able to send a link to live chat? The only thing I can find is phoning EE but don’t want to do that only send a message about my situation.

Always take what they say on live chat with a pinch of salt, they’ve told me I’ll have it on release day in past and I’ve had nothing until 3 weeks later, I was told again this year it will be release day that’s why I’ve paid the £6.98 delivery fee but until the DPD notification comes through I won’t believe it 🤣
