It will be my first time preordering through EE, currently on a sim only after buying direct from apple last year. Is it best to upgrade online/via the app or over the phone?

the best way will be  to upgrade on the phone less hassle then doing it online.

Is anyone seeing 'unable to upgrade' at the moment when trying to do so? It said I could yesterday and texting 150 says I can too.

No.  I can see my upgrade info.

all that’s changed at the moment regarding the iPhone 17 info is the plans not being available at the moment . I just hope that £200 upfront cost was an error .

Where did you see the £200 upfront cost?

I wasn’t going to upgrade this year,

but the temptation is kicking in to overdrive after seeing that I’m in the anytime upgrade window and the guide that I spoke to (Marc - brilliant guy - EE team please tell him he’s awesome) confirmed for me that despite the app currently saying that there’s a £300 upgrade fee that this shouldn’t be the case as my plan allows to upgrade for free after year (just trade in the phone like I have the last 7 years)
