iPhone 16 & 16 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release. 

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

Hi said on email Available to pre-order. Expect delivery to you on launch date not saying anything eles and now got text message saying will depatch this in 21 days very confuse now. Has anyone pre ordered it got diffrent date now

Hi everyone. I’m a EE customer however first time this year ever that I’ve upgraded directly through Apple and not EE so I can share my experience with you on the other side of the fence so to speak…..

i ordered 2 phones on pre order day at 1pm.

First was a pro max 1TB white titanium and the payment was taken more or less straight away and delivery date on Apple was showing as Fri 20th Sept

Second phone ordered around 13:05 and was for a pro max 1TB black titanium and this payment has not been taken yet and delivery date is showing between 25th - 30th Sept

 I’ve never ordered a phone from Apple before as always had new iPhones from EE on contract. I’d be extremely suprised if Apple had seriously that low stock levels that someone such as me ordering a iPhone pro max and completing checking literally 5 mins after site was live for them to run out of stock. I think it’s just stock movement on the system as my understanding is our devices all come from the international distribution centre in cork, Ireland so until stocks drops in on their system then our orders will show as pending (and a delayed delivery date)

Incidentally I went into the EE website around 9pm this evening (Sat) and even at that point I could order pretty much every model of iPhone and delivery date was 20th (launch day) so again back to my first point I’d be very suprised if we didn’t get ours directly from Apple on 20th

Some other forums folk are saying they are regulars from apple ordering and this is normal - beginning of week the delivery date changes to launch date

So I decided to have another go today at getting my discount on my line rolled over and have been told I am an unprofitable customer.

I have a full works plan, an iPad plan and a watch plan and I am unprofitable.  

Today is one of those rare days where I am actually speechless.   They then proceeded to try and sell me broadband

Really depends when your order confirmation came though! Im sure Monday & Tuesday a few will see updates to their orders hopefully. Someone did say on here Apple seem to be much more prepared this year with more stock availability!  Looking at Apple Website - if one placed an order today it’s currently around 4 weeks lead time for delivery! Last year was already into mid November at this stage 2 days after pre-order! Also I think the Dessert Titanium is this year fave colour. One i didnt go for so hoping my orders land promptly for this release. 

Keep an eye on your order on EE website for updates. We may just be surprised this year! 🤙🏾

If you have ever pre-ordered an iPhone on launch then you'll know there is no guarantee you receive the device on launch date. Apple artificially keep supply low to create demand.

Then they have to reword things when pre ordering and not saying Available to pre-order. Expect delivery to you on launch date thats misleading saying your going to be getting it on 20th

Hey everyone, do you guys also have "Expected delivery date: Awaiting confirmation" or has it been updated for any of you?

Same for me! Received  my email order confirmation 2:30pm on Friday!  I think early birds that managed to secure their order may see updates tomorrow or Tuesday. This purely based on how last year went when movement finally started happening.

Yes, I also got my confirmation email at 2:30 pm on Friday. I guess we can also count ourselves in the early category. I guess we do have good chances of getting the phone on launch day. What do you think?

Based on previous years the expected date doesn’t update on the tracking until it’s dispatched on Thursday
