Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release.
Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

For me i think the fact they wasn't able to fulfil all the orders from at least the 13th means something else has gone on, in terms of a delivery not arriving or being late from Apple.
Unfortunately though that information wasn't passed to the people that really needed it, who was taking orders and updating the site. So they was sticking to the message of launch day delivery.
But who knows, all we can now is wait for the date show and unfortunately if you don't have a date yet you'll have to wait until you do.

I rang up yesterday to confirm it had gone through and the gentleman told me it was definitely in and confirmed my plan and everything on the phone to show it was showing up for him

despite the tracker, i was just told by one of the EE guides, that they currently have phones out of stock and expceted dispatch is more than 28 days. so it turns out that this delivery frame are a lie?

I don’t agree that they should have stopped taking pre-orders but they would 100% have been aware that the initial allocation for pre-orders had been exhausted and it should have been made blatantly obvious to customers that it may now take up to 28 days.
They won’t do that though as it would encourage customers to start looking at who actually has availability

What if Apple had allocated 1 million units across all variants, however at the time of delivery only supplies 300k units. You never know, things can go wrong in the pipeline from manufacturing issues, recalls or even falling off the boats.

I'm so frustrated! I have received 3 different responses regarding my order! And I still don't know when it will get delivered!

I spoke to a helpful guy the other day that they don't see the tracking and dates we see on there, the only timeframes they have is for the live stock so the reason they said that was most likely due to that's what it is if you was to order now, they have no idea about orders that have already been placed.
I think if EE was going put a estimate delivery date on there they know when we they will be able to furful orders. But I guess untill people who have the dates of the 27th to 1st later this week start getting their devices, we don't have confirmation of that.

The problem, for me at least, is the communication, or lack thereof of consistent communication.
They didnt need to stop preorders, they needed to stop telling people they would be getting their phone on launch day when at some point it would have been abundantly clear there would be people not getting them launch day. So why didn’t they set expectations.

I have just spoken to Ee and despite ordering my phone on pre order day and told it would arrive on the Friday launch day they have just told me me it going to be at least 21-28 day minimum if not longer so in other words they cannot really confirm when it will arrive but it will sometime!!!!
am not impressed at all tbh!!!!
