Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release.

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

You can find a general discussion thread here: https://community.ee.co.uk/t5/Orders/Iphone-16-pro-16-pro-max-pre-order-thread-that-time-of-the-year...

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

They said new order more at least 28 days -ie more then and that my order should be within the 28 days of ordering.

I've no reason to believe that this is inaccurate given the new order timeline is what Apple and another provider are quoting.

Yes we will see what comes this week.

Not much else to report and no point just posting just repeating the same thing again and again.

As the title suggests really. I’ve been on the phone to you twice but nothing I moving forward. I was told yesterday it would be with me but it is still showing as awaiting confirmation on the tracking. so suggests it hasn’t even been dispatched yet.

Is there anyone who can look into this for me please? I changed broadband the same day and the router for that is arriving tomorrow.

Been waiting 5 days for my new i phone 16, getting no joy when I call to the call centre, going to move over to O2 in the morning grrrrr

I've got no reason to not believe the dates on the tracker are wrong as they seem logical. I don't know why they would put a date on there is they didn't know, especially as giving a date twice and failing will only annoy people further.

I doubt the advice that the guides can give as I was literally told by one they can only give estimates based on the live stock for what the wait time is if you was to order now.

If mine isn't with my by the end of the 1st like I've given quoted then I'll be there with you annoyed, but they've given me a date on the tracking so I'll trust that untill proven otherwise

@Panky90  They have to stagger the dates for everyone, if you look at all carriers they do the same thing, for example Vodafone changed the date and then every 3 days they change it again. Most carriers want to reduce traffic to the call centre so providing an Expected date of 27th -1st and then the next group 8th-14th helps reduce that.
I would like to think these companies didn’t lie to begin with but this last week has shown otherwise. I hope that I am wrong, I am on the 27th - 1st timeframe too. Has anyone who is on that timeline received any DPD notifications or had their plan changed within their account? What would be useful is to know if stock is arriving and only we can share that between us.
I hope that these expected dates are correct, I am very sceptical, especially when I am talking to senior executives and they can’t answer the question, I can understand the guides, but executives should know, they are waiting for more information.

Exactly we will see in the coming days as if you've got that time-frame you should get getting the messages soon. I just don't think they would put dates on there, especially two sets of dates if they didn't intend to deliver then. Yes it stops the traffic from people calling in, but all it would do would be to push i down the road as then Wednesday when they haven't arrived we are all complaining.

Also I think its a different situation when Apple announce when you can pre order and when the device is released to EE giving an estimated delivery time. Apple just expect retailers to deal with it, if EE are giving an estimated delivery time, like with anything you order online, that is when they will aim to deliver.

I may be wrong but i believe someone at EE knows then they deliveries are coming in and when they can furfil the backlog of orders they clearly have, so have given those days. I dont think it would do them any use pulling random dates out of nowhere only to annoy people further.

I would just recommend if anyone has a date just wait for that date, dont ask the EE quides as clearly they dont know. If those dates turn our to be wrong then complain but mines been the same since it changed to that Saturday morning.

I’m not annoyed about the delay.  It’s happened so many times now I can’t get angry about it

My beef was telling me I was unprofitable when trying to upgrade and the continued badgering to take broadband whilst in the middle of making a complaint.

It will appear at some point but I can’t get exercised about it

Well yes your personal experience and if you have been mistreated then of course  you have grounds to complain.

Just thing on when it will be delivered, we just have to accept it. Of course we all hoped and alot told it would be the 20th, that was never going be a reality for everyone. Demand is outreaching stock at the moment for all retailers but we should of all knew that, if you don't wanna wait there is always the option to switch to the pro or 16 as that seems easier to get right now, or cancel. If we want it we can do nothing else but wait.

I'm annoyed with EE as guides made promises and  caused expectations i'd have it by now, both sides to blame for that. But it will all go away when I get my phone, hopefully in the next 2-6 days.

I pre ordered the iPhone 16 pro max desert titanium 256gb on September 17th and I’ve got an estimated delivery date of 4th October - 8th October and I’ve just had an email to say “Your order's on track.

Your estimated delivery date is: 4th - 8th Oct 2024

Please Note: Delivery dates are an estimate. If anything changes, we’ll let you know as soon as we can.”

so looks like we should keep our hopes up that they’re sticking to the delivery dates they have given us!
