iPhone 16 & 16 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release. 

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

Sadly we are used to it.  Last year was particularly bad.  Going by the number that went out on day one last year I reckon the EE allocation for launch day was delivered to the warehouse in a Ford Transit

I went to collect my 16 pro max and my nans iPhone 16 plus they had my nans but not mine and they didn’t have a clue when it was going to be ready for pick up. Think it’s the same everywhere but the Apple shop. It’s not very good when they say it’ll be here today then it isn’t.

Well, I’ve just had two hours of my life, that I’m never getting back on the phone to them, across 3 calls, but..

My original PM pre-order that I stumped up £150 in advance and got confirmation email for never got converted into an actual order, so after around 40 minutes into my 2nd call to a helpful lady called Abby, we were at the T&C stage after being told there would be a 21-28 day wait when in my stupidity aiming for the mute button, hit hang-up instead, I screamed very loudly at that point…

Cue sitting listening to god-awful on-hold music for another 25 minutes, speak to another sales lady whose name escapes me unfortunately to start the process again…

After progressing to the T&C stage again, she says I’ve given you next day delivery due to the issues I’ve faced, but that she can’t include that for Saturday, I ask what Saturday would cost me? £9.98; confirm is the Pro Max device and ‘gee let me think…’

The question remains, will I ACTUALLY get it tomorrow ?

I ordered the 15 Pro Max in NT with 512GB on 13th, order confirmed at around 16:30.

I just got off the phone with EE and they said my iphone 16 pro max will be with me withing 5 days.

I have been with EE for ablut 15 years and everytime i upgrade, it has been with me on release day 😕

even upgrading was a pain though, done it all through the app like i usually have in the past, but then got right to the end and had to call them up. This just made things so long. Not sure if it's a new thing they have started doing, but it was a lot of hassle.

This is false, at least this time round. Apple increased production, and pre order demand in down 27%, meaning there is more stock than demand. This is purely on EE this time. They haven't ordered stock in until release.

No it is not false

I've ordered iPhone 16 Pro Max direct from apple and it not arriving till 15th Oct. 

The watch is even later and not arriving till at least December. 

Even Apple's local store doesn't have any, they have a pro but not pro max.

I've caved and gone for the 16Pro 1TB BT instead of the Max.

I called back 1hr ago to cancel my watch plan and add the new one which wasn't EE and while taking I asked about what I was told earlier. It turns out the 2 weeks was a soft let down and they couldn't say it would be any less than 28 days so I decided to cancel that and go with the smaller one.

I was already on 2 minds before I pre-ordered but, this just seals it. I went Max last year for the camera and I've got used to the extra screen and battery quite well so it will be a bit of a shame. When I hold my work phone which is a 13Pro, I do sometimes miss the form factor. I can't be certain as it does feel like a toy in comparison.

At least it won't be a pain to send my case and screen protector back to Amazon. I've ordered the smaller versions already for a morning delivery. Fingers crossed, tomorrow will be less disappointing.

If anyone is as impatient as me then it's worth considering.
