Hello Again.
After last years MONUMENTAL thread became the second most popular thread on the entire website, (Over 400k views & 6k replies) I thought I'd make another for this years iPhone release. 

Just like last year let's use this thread purely for Tracking Preorders and any related discussion around it.

Last year was a mess for EE, Let's hope things are different this year.

That beyond high demand for stock though, if you cant even have enough stock to furfill orders from the first day of pre ordering.

Lets hope that's just a message for all, and will actually be alot sooner.

How have they been able to get enough stock to be back up to date with the pro orders but be this far behind the max? Especially as all I've heard all week is that sales are down on the max and more people have gone for the pro

Did you get a SIM card with it? I assumed I just put my current SIM card in or do i have to put new one in. I don’t wanna be on hold for half an hour just to ask that question lol

I just finished on a chat with them. This is what they said 

 

You can expect the delivery in weekdays as DPD does not deliver on weekdays. Also you will receive a confirmation text with the tracking details from DPD once the order is shipped. Hope this helps?

 

 

so no delivery till atleast Monday!!! Great 

I’ve had delivery’s before from DPD on a weekend  

edit: just checked and looks like they have stopped delivery on weekends now. Looks like all having to wait till Monday now if still not received phones which is rubbish!

They have lied and continue to do so, telling customers that stock sits with Apple and DPD, that is a not true, DPD collect the stock from EE warehouse. Telling people the Max didn't come out until 1pm today, again another lie, people who ordered the same spec as me but 5 hours after me have already received them. They went back and listened to the calls and confirmed that I was told I would get it today and also that I specifically asked if there was stock to make the order. A few levels up within EE they have confirmed a misrepresentation of sale, breaking the Ofcom guidelines. There are a lot of employees that don't care and that means they are just lying to close the sale rather than be honest and then others keep the scam going, It is disgusting. I have but a Subject Access Request in to get access to every phone call and all data associated with my account including their notes. This alongside what I already have will be sent to the FCA and Ofcom. They have scripts they are using, one was first come first served, so I said how would that work if I ordered at 4pm, then someone order the same spec at 4:30pm and another person order same spec at 9pm who would be first, they refused to answer, because they knew they had sent devices and missed me out. Then I got excuses as its so busy for them with a launch, however I said that if Very can, and all the other carriers can why is this such a shambles, one manager spent 20 mins sharing all the internal issues, as he thought  was a mystery shopper. Given they have mis-sold their employees on behalf of EE have broken my contracts, gaslit lied manipulated to get you to spend more under false circumstances. Yet they think it's the phone that is the issue, No that was why I called, but 15-20 people from Hull, Cardiff and Newcastle are going to be caught out. It's not the phone, it's being human and honest which are principles and based on the last week, I can't spend money with a culture that lies to their customers.

So if they won't listen to me, perhaps they will listen to the £££££££££££ fines that will come. Thankfully they record every call and that proves misrepresentation of sale. As for the phone, who knows, I don't think they do, But we know!!!

Spoke to CS who’ve assured me that my phone was picked up by DPD yesterday but I’ve yet had nothing from DPD at all. Starting to doubt the validity of that claim. Another EE launch day balls up, which after so many years you’d think for the prices they charge, they’d get right

When processing an upgrade or even a new contract/additional line EE has the ability at point of ordering to specify the contact number for the order updates. It is just a case of the agent not remembering/understanding/caring that the contact number is used for the DPD alerts and that Apple Watches cannot receive sms direct if it is a paired watch plan. Only standalone plans i.e. a family member plan that can receive sms direct. Definitely not your issue or fault. 

I ordered mine on the 14th. Is there any hope in getting it before October?🥲
