Would love an EE community moderator/staff member to actually give us a stance on this;

when the preorder window tomorrow opens, will we who got the 15 pro on the preorder/launch last year be able to upgrade without the fee? It’s showing a fee right now… 😑

Ok so they told me there will no longer be anytime upgrades and this is the last year.  There's also a £100 up front fee, and they won't wave it like they did last year.

The woman said she was from retentions, but pretty rude and didn't really care to keep me as a customer.  Been with them since one2one, before they became T-Mobile and before they were called EE.  My EE account shots me as being with them since 1999.  They don't care much!

Time to find another provider.

I’ve been told I have to pay a fee as my contract started 22nd September, when I received the iPhone 15… so can’t upgrade until then. Don’t think I will bother, let the contract run out and switch to my work provider as they offer a better discount. No customer loyalty anymore

Yeah - it's been a total mess up this year. nobody can do what we was promised and have been doing for years since EE changed their plans.

It unbelievable that the phone came out on the 22nd last year so it's two days earlier, and they're unwilling to waive the fee. Especially when they've done it in previous years and have even said they would normally waive the fee for the order being up to two weeks early.

Apparently I have to wait until the 22nd to upgrade, can’t do it in advance without paying the fee. Best they could do (apparently) is add it to the next bill instead… I’m not paying it one way so won’t upgrade and will switch next year when my contract expires

Yeah they told me they wouldn't waive the fee. Just seen on another thread they have waived it for someone else as well!

I can’t upgrade online I don’t know I just took iPhone 15 pro Max in May for a 24 monthly plan

I guess they’re not doing anytime upgrades anymore so it doesn’t matter to keep you.  If they waive the fee that’s less phones to be sold to new customers and those out of contract.  I’m guessing they figure you’ll upgrade on 22nd, pay extra months for nothing while waiting for the phone and they’ll scoop extra cash from us before we decide to leave.

I was just about to switch my business to EE - we buy 15/20 iPhones a year - but given the attitude of the last lady I spoke to, I’m done with EE.

ill let these two contract run out next year and switch.

What was hilarious was I said I would like to give notice now.  She said you have to at least 30 days before.  I said erm it’s now 367 days before.  She said no at least 30 days before.  After the third attempt I gave up.

Oh well!
