iPhone 15 & 15 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

You are correct they should and I have called, the first time the guy was quite exasperated that I had even bothered to call, of course we know you haven’t had your phone and of course we wouldn’t charge you for not returning your old one - 3 final reminder and charge for failure to return texts later over a few days I called again, the guy this time was very helpful and said he could see what had happened and would sort it right now, by cancelling my order and redoing it - I asked him not to and he gave me a number/reference number for the third party company that handle the returns - I called them the next morning and they had no idea what the numbers meant, weren’t in control of any of it and couldn’t change my agreed return date “even if they wanted to”

So… I’m not 100% confident I won’t be billed for it but am 100% confident I won’t be paying a bill with the charge on it - other people may have had different experiences but those 3 calls took me about 3.5 hours and I very much cba to try again 😂

called at 5pm - she said that she could see on her side that they were on 3 day delivery (that's what the website said also).

As soon as she processed the order I got a DPD were expecting your delivery.

I’m just so flabbergasted with the way EE is handling all of this…

still haven’t heard anything about my phone so I went on chat to find out what’s going on. Still got told that it’ll be 28 days timeframe and all the same repeat stuff. Then suddenly the agent suggested to me if they can cancel my order and book me in for an appointment at the EE store. Was so confused but got told that they always had stock in the stores for the in-store orders. Was told repeatedly that they definitely have phones in stock in store so I got an appointment tomorrow morning. Online orders are dealt separately apparently. I’m just so baffled if this was true, I’ll keep you guys updated tomorrow if I got the phone or not!! Here’s the screenshot of what the agent told me…

Please tell me you didn't authorises him to cancel your online order?

@Gee-91

Yes, this is somewhat true.

I used to work 2 mins away from an EE store. and used to speak to a few of the guys.

Having said this. I would imagine they do not receive a lot of stock. bar the initial release day stock of any given model(Depending on the size of the outlying area)

Thanks for the reply. That is really annoying (but not surprising), that's about the time I rang.

Something i have learned in my journey to get my new iPhone is this.

(and i am aware of my own short cummings in the waiting department).

When you order something get evidence of that order. screen shots etc. If doing your order on the phone make sure to plainly ask for a delivery date. Also, I'm not sure if you are aware you can ask them to send you both a txt message an email to confirm this.

Make sure you stay on the phone while you wait for them to send them, that way you can make sure you get your order number and if something is incorrect you can tell them straight away.

As soon as you get that order number go to the tracking site and screenshot what it says. i normally do this but the one time i didn't do this they implied i was lying when i said my expected delivery date had changed.

On a side note. i have made 2 separate complaints each time i was offered a £30 goodwill gesture.
