Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

When did your pre order confirmation come for the white? Did you do a standard upgrade or anytime upgrade?

I have no idea how EE messed this up on my end. I'm currently on the Samsung S23 Ultra, and it said I could upgrade early for £100. So I thought, great! New iPhone time! According to EE, my phone is an iPhone 13 Pro Max...when it's not. Add insult to injury; if I wanted to upgrade my Samsung, it'd be £300 for an early upgrade! I don't even know where to start with this mess. I upgraded from the iPhone 13 Pro Max to the Samsung S23...now I either pay £300 or wait til Feb and get a free upgrade with a swap of my Samsung. I have no words, so alas I won't be able to upgrade for some time, I just want to go back to iPhone so bad.

I got a pre order email straight away with a tracking number. It was a standard upgrade as I was due to upgrade anyway

Has anyone ordered since from Saturday morning and had more than just an automated email with the XKO number?
I just called to ask about my billing, as the money that was sent up front for the upgrade (iphone 15 pro max 256gb) appeared as a credit on my bill. When I asked what had happened, I was told my order was still "pending" and to wait a few days (my next bill is due then) and all will be fine.....

I ordered late Saturday afternoon, around 4ish? Everything went smooth and I got an email with an xko number and also telling me to call to confirm. Called up, took about 45 minutes to get through but got through and got the order sorted, then received my 03 number. Chap said they’re aiming to get everyone’s order delivered on the 22nd, but may be delayed by a day or two, with it being the weekend it could be Monday or Tuesday when it gets here.

You'll really struggle to prove they've mis-sold you anything, they won't compensate you for the hours you spent trying to order a phone.. Are Apple going to compensate me for the 15 minutes it took to order mine last Friday? are they hell

I've not had any 03 number, and I suspect they've done absolutely nothing with my order. I even called, and was told everything was fine. If on my next bill date i've heard nothing and my current bill is taken off my pre order fee I'm cancelling the whole thing and putting in a complaint. 🤕

I just rang upgrades again to check, mainly for amusement with what everyone is saying. Did my reorder Saturday AM.
Chap said “We’ve been told to tell everyone they’ll get their iPhone Pro Max pre order launch day”
I then said “Even if my reorder was Saturday”, he said “Yes”. Then I said “Even if I ordered today” and he replied “Yes we’ve been told to tell everyone that you’ll be getting your orders launch day”
True chaos.

Has anyone else noticed the line they are upgrading this year on the web and app My EE shows blank contract start/end dates plus the phone shows unknown? All other 5 lines show devices etc correctly.
Fingers crossed it means the phone is being processed not a glitch in the EE app
