Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Okay, so I’ve been lurking on here for a while (while I wait for 15PM 256 NT) and thought id clarify a couple of things as some replies appear to be just trolling..

EE won’t have exact stock numbers - essentially they are at the mercy of Apple. The logistics for a global launch are massive. EE will have requested a number of handsets from Apple for launch, but there is no guarantee that they will receive that number. From the announcement to pre-order there were probably 0 iPhone 15’s anywhere other than China distribution & the few at Apple. There will be cargo flights from China arriving several times a week, these have to clear customs and then distributed to sellers. EE may only find out what they are receiving when on-route. 

Where you live in the UK shouldn’t matter, it’s all mapped from central points. the distribution warehouse will allocate the handsets (they need to register what they receive) then trucks take the stock to DPD distribution point who then allocate a delivery slot and start to process through their network.  

If Apple are worried about build quality, they will further limit the distribution to re-sellers while testing batches to limit replacements and negative publicity. 

All providers will be in the same situation UK, Europe & USA well, anywhere that is on the initial release schedule. 

EE’s order systems need updating, they can’t cope & processing manually will cause massive issues (contact start/discount/term/returns ordering).

Be nice to the agents, they will only have limited information & what they have been told by their friends on a break.

Just had text from DPD. So the 512Gb natural titanium PM should hopefully be delivered tomorrow.

l dont have a clue why ee behaving like this, instead of telling us the truth 🙄 anyway thanks.. let us wait and see

I ordered 15 pro max 1tb online on the 20 october, then receive the email from ee without order number and Paid £30 upfront, nothing was showing on my ee. on saturday the 23 october I call ee, asked about the order and the lady said, I can see your order but we dont have stock. She asked me if I have broadband with ee, I said no I have with bt, then she said she can give me the good deal if she process the iphone order again! so I agreed to the offer,....... Then received email with the order number and when I checked my ee I can see the order. now is the waiting game

This may mot really interest you guys but TIL Apple has moved their production to India instead of China and from what ive heard it causes quite a lot of defects (Scratches, Misallignment, Dust inside the camera module etc) Could that be why theres a lot of delay? who knows but all i know for sure is that after i wait this long and my phone has some issues id be hella **bleep**ed 😂 so im hoping we all got the perfect pair/s

I'd just like a way for my tracking number to work on the order tracker page of my ee so at least I can check on the order once in a while. Has anyone found a solution for that? Just get an error

Just received my blue PM placed order 15th 1.10PM heard nothing untill Saturday just gone and received 0033 number, got DPD text yesterday about this time and received 1 hour slot about 9.30am this morning got delivered at 17.50

Imagine the frustration when you get a message with a pin and it’s EE following up from a message I sent them 6 days ago!

I'm in the same boat. The EE tracker page just gives me that 'Sorry, can't track that type of order...' error message. It's been like that for week now, I check tracking every single day.

Someone said that that could be good news?🤷‍♂️, they suggested the tracking goes like that when it's about to be allocated?
