Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

having issues with other promises from EE too and the chat reps just are not given enough info or tools to work with within the orders. Upgrade offers not being honoured and a load of different info and false advertising. Being told that EE can whack on a fee if they want when you have upgraded with £0 fee to upgrade! Honestly the whole process has been a mess and the time spent on it is ridiculous.
with the phone… if it was clear upfront about a wait of a week or whatever then that is understandable and I’m not in a desperate rush. It’s exciting but it’s not a huge life changing situation here. It’s the promises by EE reps and all have said delivery today and only today have now said up to 28 days which isn’t what I had when I ordered and even after.

She seemed quite certain about it, I’ve spoken to multiple people during this uncertainty and she seemed honest; she also said she pre ordered on Friday too, and is also waiting, I would’ve thought she wouldn’t lie to someone who’s in the same boat as her.

Well. I just called up and cancelled my preorder. And when my current contract runs out that's me and EE done. Best network in the UK my ass

I got told this yesterday that it was sat in the warehouse and just needed a label, today it changed back to 28 days, so i couldnt be asked anymore lol

Well thank your stars if you are lucky enough to get your device in today. My contract with ThreeUK is even worse than the experience I am seeing here. Why take so many orders when providers can't meet the demand. I have so given up with the system and services in the UK...Utter bilge

@Kon_ I know it doesn't look good... and the experience has been shocking,
EE isn't perfect, I don't work for them and I don't get paid to say this, but they are actually good compared to everyone else.
Does this mean they can get away? NO!
I have been with O2 before and their pre-order for iPhone was beyond shocking
Three - I'm not going to even comment on them as they are a waste of spectrum
Vodafone - they are... okay(ish)

If you want to sign a petition to ask Trading Standards to investigate the possible lies we have all been told, and think that a billion dollar company should spend more money on improving a service that is promised to us…
let’s be honest, if EE told us the truth about wait times, many would have gone elsewhere, they know this and if they willingly misrepresented, that’s breaking the law.
The only person this hurts, is rich EE senior execs. It will benefit everyone else, including the poor CS representatives that are caught in the middle. I’m sure they’d like a better system too!
