Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

That is the problem. Normally it would not be a problem but because of the delays, it messes it up.

Ah yes, totally agree. No I needs to be abusive to customer service agents. Calling people Karens for having legitimate complaints isn’t helpful.
Now, EE have misrepresented delivery times - this evidence has been born out by all the information gathered on these threads. Promising orders to customers when they don’t have the stock to send is whose fault?

I’m the only one on the spread sheet that doesn’t have a 0033 number. Sorry to be ‘that guy’.

Also….for context…..Apple’s site says a 28 day delivery time if you order most models *today*. So phones we have all had in back order for nearly 2 weeks really *shouldn’t* take all that long.
Maybe. lol.

Spreadsheet is great, good job - i was hopeful after Monday and Tuesday that people posting their delivery updates would be a daily thing, but nothing today i see - If EE had something like this and knew what they were getting on delivery days estimated arrival dates would be on our tracking and people would all feel a bit better.
I've got to call them tomorrow to get my return date pushed on because its currently Monday and i dont see me getting the phone, swapping to it, clearing the old one and returning it by then 😀
Also, shoutout to @steppyhen & @devtianrk my '085' pals

Yep, which means next year by the time you can upgrade you are right at the back of the queue! This is why im now considering cancelling my upgrade and just pay off the balance of the device over the next year, then trade it in with Apple and buy next year device direct from them on pre-order and hopefully get it on the day of release. This whole saga just put me off and has meant the upgrade anytime with EE is now F***ed for next year release and worthless!

In reality, what i find interesting is let's face it we are geeks. we use forums etc. We are only a small portion of people ordering these lovely golden phones that are so hard to get hold of atm. This thread is really good to get some sort of an idea of what is happening.
I am really surprised there is not an official let's call them an official EE spokesperson. replying here. Some sort of statement and replies would go a long way to ease people. Just saying nothing i think is actually what is making people angry. disappointed ect .
As for the information given out. i would seriously put that down to either bad management, bad trai for one woudl pay for that lolining, and people not liking confrontation. Let's face it some people are good at it some are not. it's the ones who are not that i think are the ones saying anything just to get you off the line. they are just trying to de-escalate the situation they should not be in.
Bear in mind i am most probably the worst person in the world i hate queuing for anything i hate waiting, i like my brand-new shiny tech.
Here is a thought for you. if EE just was in it for the money do you not think they would offer pay to jump the wait queue, I would pay for that, and can you imagine how much they would make on it. Let's call it vip pre-order.
Or a credits-based system. you need say 1000 credits to bump your order up. you get credits for last year pre-order. you contribute on here ect ect.

I think it’s a great idea! But the biggest problem you have is those with deep pockets! What’s to say one person pay £75 to VIP their pre-order of a PM NT 512GB and another person who wants that phone is prepared to pay £150! We then create a bidding war that prices out those who can’t afford the VIP service! On top of this, given EE inability to organise literally ANYTHING, can you imagine the ruckus of someone ordering their PM 512GB on the 16th via VIP, and another ordering on 23rd non VIP and they get their device before the VIP! I mean it’s a very luckily prospect given last year and this calamity with pre-ordering through EE. Defo a credit based system would be interesting but it’s the logistics of linking the info and data to flag and push orders. Right now at EE, the left hand, right hand, left foot and right foot are operating under their own stem and looking pretty messy. So again, I just don't think they’re capable of ingenious ideas like these when they cannot facilitate the simple ones.
