Hey Guys, 

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking. 

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Yet again another complete farce from EE. 
Called up to Pre-Order 1:01pm on 15th, waited for 35 minutes to be told the "Anytime Upgrade" button was broken.
Received my callback the next day advising that I could now upgrade and I would get my PM512 Raw on release day. 
No communication from EE, No Communication from DPD. 
Called CS now and they have fobbed me off with no idea when it might turn up, I am in an open sales order state waiting for DPD to fulfil. 
Called my Local store and they haven't received any PM at all in any colourway. Next Shipment to them is expected in November. 

Reading this forum it would appear that the die-hard individuals who pay a premium for anytime upgrade are the ones who pay the price. 16 Years with EE and still nothing but staff who can't deal with polite but challenging questions around delivery schedules and expected timelines. 

This scenario is giving me iPhone 7 Plus - Jet Black Vibes. 

Roll on the gestures of goodwill when we are still moaning in 2 months time waiting for delivery. 

Now where did I put the number for my Local DPD centre..... GL everyone else trying to get their phone today.

Just phoned my local EE store which delivery is supposed to be being made to. Said DPD driver is just walking out the store, call back in 10 minutes. 

Called back 30 minutes later and he said all we received was one Pro Max demo unit, the rest are standard Pros. He then said you will have to wait 28 days to get your phone.

Seems like everyone who received the “your order is on track" text didn’t receive their phone today.

Update:

Complete silence from DPD today… everything was fine yesterday, received text, EE tracking updated, DPD app updated… but no SMS today from DPD about the delivery slot and app shows no movement…  anyone else hving the same experience?  I’m in central London

I contacted DPD just now, they don’t know if I’ll receive the phone today or when I’ll receive it. They don’t know why there’s a delay.  
Who knew DPD had turned into Hermes… 😕

Which is annoying because they’ve literally gone out of their way to lie and make matters worse.

I’d rather of had “due to demand, your phone will arrive in X days when we restock”

At least then I wouldn’t have booked a day off work to be available.

Dpd must be so inundated. Bogged down. Let's hope things don't get jest for those expecting

Wow. Absolutely incredible.

Raised a complaint. Took them almost a week to get back to me, chap hadn’t even checked the call logs before calling me to substantiate that agent had lied to me on 16th when I had to re order in morning and guaranteed launch delivery if I reordered.  (Ordered on 15th and 12:57 and got confirmation email but order was “lost”) - Put the dates and times of each call in original complaint. 

Said there is nothing they can offer me, said I’m welcome to goto the financial ombudsman. I was calm and polite just explaining upto this but then expressed my disappointment and kept trying to explain to “how would the financial ombudsman help in this situation” since it’s nothing to do with that process. He didn’t like that one bit and kept insisting and then hung up on me.

Has it always been this bad?

Ive only started using EE back in 2018 when i moved in the UK and not until 2021 is when i got the iPhone 13 pro max from them which i still use today. Back then ive ordered just a week after the launch date and i remembered in store clerk saying some people who pre ordered hasnt even gotten their phone yet. Which make sense back then since COVID was a thing and chip shortages was everywhere.

 

But now? Like what would be the reason for the delays and is it only ee that always have these delays? Is it that apple saying all that talk about being more environmentally friendly on that video has cause these delays?(/j). If you guys know you cant handle all these customers order then why offer launch date delivery for those who pre ordered?

If i had known this i would have ordered from apple directly but it is too late now as of writting this if i were to order from Apple i would only get it by the end of october (For black titanium, Natural titanium would be end of November LMAO)

I paid to have before 12 loads of calls just been told it will be delivered between 7 and 10 shambles
