Haha true but there are some decent staff in the call centres who seem to know what they are doing. It helps when you have a named contact like in my case though 😉
I have to be honest if I worked in a call centre and I opened up a customers account and saw they had called everyday or multiple times a day for the last three weeks asking the same thing and getting more aggravated I'd just make up any old s*** to get them off the line and I'd get a kick out of it. I'll probably get flamed here for this but there is a very fine line between making a genuine general enquiry about your order and being absolutely needy and making yourself look like a absolute tool.
EE have questions to answer for the lack of communication for sure but delays with stock is a regular thing with Apple launches and this year from the moment the Apple announced the Wonderlust event there were very strong rumours that they weren't ready to go with the 15PM models. These rumours were never as strong in previous years so the mess thats followed hasn't really surprised me if I am honest. I've had issues with a product I've purchased from Apple in the past and whilst the sales process is great when it comes to them addressing their own failings they aren't any better than EE.
