Hey Guys,
Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.
I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

Ordered the pro max 15 black, order confirmed sat morning with an 03 number.
was told on live chat yesterday that my order was being picked and due to be shipped 24-48hrs.
have just spoken to CS , have confirmed they have run out of stock and delivery will now be 28days.

I’m the same

It’s an 02 tracking number

My order number which I had to get off them from the chat is an 02 number.

Doesn’t seem they know what they are doing. It if it’s going to take this long I might make a huge complaint and terminate my contract.

Same with me

Unfortunately you can’t track with an 02 number. You need a 03 number to track.

That's not what EE have told me, and there are signs that it's absolutely the case. You might be confusing models with mmWave that have a small glass window on the edge of the phone, as those are the US only models?
If you check the model pics on the EE website - they even use the no sim slot model in the sales images (which legally have to represent the product accurately in UK sales law - other models with a SIM card slot have always shown the sim slot on the side of the phone in the product images), based off that, it's reasonable to believe what I was told by EE when I was going through the purchase process.

You have been told wrong - there were rumours that France and other EU countries (plus UK) may be getting eSim only but that turned out to not be true this time around. UK absolutely has the regular sim card slot on all models.
EE are likely using the stock images which show the US version of the phone.
