iPhone 15 & 15 Pro Preorder Tracking Thread

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to create a separate thread from the Discussion thread to specifically discuss EE Preorder tracking.

I think it's always helpful/reassuring to keep each other updated on the latest when it comes to this time of year, especially with EE's not-so-great track record on keeping customers informed about their preorders.

My order was an xko reference and after a few attempts at calling and being on hold I finally got through late afternoon/early evening on Friday. The guy confirmed everything and said my order number would be emailed to me on Sunday most likely but assured me it was all ordered.  At 08:26 on Saturday morning my confirmation email arrived.

It does seem to be have been more of a farce this year.  I was told it would be around 14 days for delivery, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't a load shipped on Friday despite people being told "14 days". I'm fairly sure they get sent from central warehouses and not from EE themselves and in previous years they always seem to deliver on 'release day'. That said, I haven't had a new one for about 4 years.

I’ve jus been on the phone to ee apparently if  u upgraded using either trade in or annual upgrade trade in the system isn’t working for that and are working to get it fixed in the next 25hrs just a heads up

I had a hellish time trying to pre order. Ended up with 5 pre order confirmations via email with the dreaded “call us to discuss some details” attached, a 6th which I was charged £30 upfront (with no order number)!

Finally got through on phone yesterday and after spending 2.5hrs on call I was assured everything was spot on. Had handset, price plan, perk code al confirmed. No email confirmation after call had me a little concerned but I thought due to systems being fried that probably wasn’t a big deal as everything was confirmed on the call.

I just received 2 Order confirmation email in the last hour.
1st - was an additional line on my account with £30 upfront charge! (Never added any additional lines as I already have 6 line on my account)

2nd - My upgrade, WRONG HANDSET AND WRONG PRICE PLAN!!

I’m lost for words at how incompetent EE has been handling this. Absolute farce

Both will be returned and upgrade cancelled. I’ll be terminating each line as they come up for renewal

Very bizarre of them to say that when I got mine on launch day last year... truly don't think they actually have a clue when it's coming!

I pre-ordered online Friday night, through anytime upgrade and got the ‘we need some more details’ email.  The phone lines were already closed so I had to wait until Saturday.

I called back Saturday morning and got through after 50 mins on hold, for the call to then cut out as the order was being checked. I called back 150, but went through to a different department and the agent was amazing. He initially tried to transfer me through to the digital sales team, but nobody answered, so he ended up manually taking the order.

He said the systems were still down, but took all of my details at 10am and then he text me at 2:30 saying that it had been ordered and I also got my confirmation email with tracking.

on the phone he said it would be ‘within 2 weeks’ so hoping that’s still the case 🤞🏻. I just chatted with an advisor online and they said they’ve been told to say +28 days to everyone as that’s the latest news they’ve been given.

every year is a mess upgrading with EE!

I've been away this weekend so I haven't been bothered to chase any of this up.

I got an XKO which told me to call them, I'm also on anytime upgrade, and you have to call because they need to fill in a separate form to process the trade in handset, the 2 systems aren't linked up.

I've been given an 02 order number that I can't track, and like most other people I can't track the XKO either.

I'm just going to wait and see what happens, tbh if it wasn't for the friends and family discount that I get, I don't think I'd bother with upgrading via EE, there's a whole rigmarole every year, the advisors all tell you something different, for example someone has been told they NEVER have Pro Max's in stock for delivery on launch day, that's news to me, I've had a PM delivered the last 2 years on launch day.  Half of the time I think it's an advisor doesn't want some mad person screeching at them because the order hasn't gone through and the other half they just can't be bothered.

For me, the anytime upgrade was great, you pay a fixed sum each month for unlimited everything and you get the latest phone every 12 months, but they're making it incredibly difficult to do that and it seems you can't even get an anytime upgrade plan if you're a new customer.  All the other networks now offer 12 month upgrades so it seems very strange to me that EE are moving away from it.

I'm on the anytime upgrade as well, it's absolutely mind boggling that the 2 systems aren't linked up, if the system know your on an anytime upgrade plan then the online system should never give you the ability to upgrade online as it does not work. Because if you phone up they just start the order from scratch anyway which invalidates what you just did online, absolutely stupid system.

I have the 14 Pro Max 1TB on the anytime plan and when I finally got the upgrade sorted over the phone 20hrs later I had the 003 order number in an email (no text) that I can track using that and my email and it shows the correct phone thankfully.

I didn't have an upgrade fee to pay because once I hit dead on 12 months after ordering my current one (on a 24 month plan) my £300 early upgrade fee even on the iOS app had gone so it ended up being a free upgrade, did have to pay a delivery charge though up front on my card. After all the crap EE has had this year they should have dropped that charge for everyone.
