My top Tip!

Pre-order from Apple!
I see year after year that "I ordered X phone and X GB, X colour, but EE (other networks probably the same) have not sent me a confirmation email"

Save yourself the hassle and order it from Apple directly, then you know exactly when you're getting it. They offer financing too at 0%, then grab a SIM only deal with Uswitch or something for an EE sim

I'm sure come Friday, there will be an Official thread, with comments saying they pre-ordered and something went wrong, no confirmation email or text or something, I guarantee it. The system is unfortunately just not capable of keeping up, even the forum is slow at times

Mine also says Awaiting Confirmation, and no its not the xko number

That's fair enough, I can see the advantage of having it with EE. All in one payment, which is nice.

Hi I’ve been speaking to ee the last few days and got told to speak to the dedicated upgrades team today to upgrade to the new iPhone I was on the chat from 2pm till 830pm tonight it’s been so frustrating I finally got the a good deal offered on the one I picked and the live chat crashed I had to call ee and was on the phone a while and they stated to screenshot the live chat to get the deal when the websites back up and running I’ve been trying all day and it’s been so anooying hopefully it gets fixed soon as my contract is very close to ending I’ve had to request a pac code but hoping to stay with ee if it gets sorted

I managed to do my upgrade online a little earlier than 1pm (around 12:55) as was refreshing account, iPhone 15 Pro Max Natural Titanium. Got my confirmation email with xko number at 12:58

Says “Usually dispatched in 14 days” on confirmation email, paid no upfront or dpd delivery as it was free. May ring tomorrow just to double triple check I’m fine for launch day. 

I get a new iPhone every year (swap providers based on deal price) all way back to iPhone 2G, never really had an issue with EE and getting it on launch day. Hopefully I don’t jinx myself saying it!

it’ll mainly be my wife and son who will be annoyed if it’s delayed, she always gets my old phone. She looking forward to better camera on the iPhone 14 Pro Max i have and my son wants her iPhone 13 Pro 😂

How did you manage that with their systems crashing?!  I was talking to a rep at 12.50pm and waiting on hold with him but after 45 mins he still couldn’t process my order.

I placed my order around 1:14pm through a call with an advisor. Did Upgrade anytime as well with a phone swap. Was informed they had a lot of "backorders" even though I was on the call from around 12:52pm. I managed to do the screen-sharing signing of the contract and all details seemed fine. Was told to receive my device within 14 days of launch date. All said and done:-

I DID NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION NOR AN ORDER NUMBER TILL NOW 😞

I did get an SMS saying my order was confirmed (without any other details) and I can track using the website link attached (but with what though haha as I received no other confirmation)! Someone guide me on this. My last two years were super smooth. Now I am worried my order has not even gone through yikes!
