My top Tip!
Pre-order from Apple!
I see year after year that "I ordered X phone and X GB, X colour, but EE (other networks probably the same) have not sent me a confirmation email"
Save yourself the hassle and order it from Apple directly, then you know exactly when you're getting it. They offer financing too at 0%, then grab a SIM only deal with Uswitch or something for an EE sim
I'm sure come Friday, there will be an Official thread, with comments saying they pre-ordered and something went wrong, no confirmation email or text or something, I guarantee it. The system is unfortunately just not capable of keeping up, even the forum is slow at times
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk

What did I say in the OP.....
What i said seems to stand true.... Meanwhile, I am picking up at my closest Apple store on the 22nd
To be fair on EE, it was absolute pandemonium this year. I was in the Q at 1pm, store opened at 13:03 - kept getting errors, my pre-order disappeared, finally managed to get a confirmed order for pick up at 13:13

I did that last year tbh with one phone lol as EE messed order up back then.
but I’m paying a ridiculous contract that suggest the upgrade anytime is a breeze and they certainly like to spam you with upgrade emails.
But when you try again with EE anytime upgrade this year …..it it’s a nightmare.

It doesn't really help anyone by gloating. There's a lot of reasons people order directly from the network, the main one being is that tens of thousands of us are on anytime upgrade plans, where we give the old phone back and get a new phone each year. For £99 a month we get a brand new phone every 12 months along with unlimited everything and usage abroad. A lot of folks also know people at EE, so we get a further 30% off, making it only £66 a month.
For whatever reason so many people can't get approved for Barclays finance, not to mention that every year you want to upgrade they do yet another full credit check.
Every year it's the same thing, every year we all say how annoying it is and how tedious it is, but it's just one of those things, if you want the phone on launch day, you have to play the game.

I had exactly the same thing. Pro max 1tb. Order went through at 1:15 says within 28 days. Did end up speaking to someone on the phone because it said some details needed confirming she said it was 14 days. Imo it’s anyone’s guess

What happened to std plans/contracts? Why are EE only pushing these flex plans with two separate direct debits? No regular plans on the website?
I managed (I think) to get a regular plan on the phone … took 40 minutes once I got through - no confirmation email yet though which is stressing me right out!!
Why do I put myself through this yearly??

Which number are you calling through to? Is the number you received on email 0800 or via the app and upgrades?

I called them 30min ago.

are you paid 6,98 for dpd delivery and get confirmation email like me ?
i hope they will post it earlier than 6 oct 😅🙄
