I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

I got the same exact message as you on the DPD app.  I queried this with DPD, and they said that this means that the parcel is with the driver, and it won't update to 'out for delivery' until the driver scans all the parcels, which can take up to 11 AM.  So basically, this means that we should be getting it tomorrow.  Just keep on updating the app, and pretty soon, it should change to 'out for delivery'!

Just adding my 2 cents. I ordered fairly late on release day (512GB PM Purple) received xko straight after but needed to ring CS to confirm details. CS was shut so I called CS first thing Saturday morning, just had to confirm a few details about my current iPhone I'm returning and received a 002 number after the call ended.
Still sat at order confirmed and nothing on DPD app. No bother, if anything like last year, I'm not expecting it soon!

My only worry is, they're saying if they don't get my current device back by the 25th, they'll charge me £630 😅

Surely they can’t charge you until 14 days after you’ve received the upgrade.. right? Lol

I ordered an iphone 14 pro deep purple 128gb on September 9th, and I have not yet received any confirmation it's coming tomorrow from EE or DPD. Is anyone else in the same boat, or have they messed up my order? In the DPD app it just says 'we're expecting your parcel shortly' at 7am this morning, but nothing since and no email at all

So like many I only received the xko order number from the original “Your EE Order” email, no other communication or texts. I ordered an iPhone 14 Pro Max 256Gb at 13:05 on launch day.

Rang EE today and said everything is fine, they gave me the DPD tracking number which shows it’s been collected and is due for delivery tomorrow. Phew

The trade in email is all branded as EE but email address is @mobilephonexchange 🤔  (upgrade anytime contract but not quite far enough in to keep the phone) wishful thinking is that they know I'm getting the new phone before the 25th 🙃

You can always keep the phone, you just need to pay a fee if its within the 24 months. 

 

i always sell my phone and pay the non-trade in fee
