iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Preorder tracking thread

I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

I placed mine on the 28th September and still no delivery date. Glad people that ordered that day are receiving handsets just hope its only a matter of days now for all the others that will be over the 28 days

I also wanted to say that while I do sincerely feel for all the people who ordered before me who are still waiting for their iPhones, I can't relate to the negative customer experiences that I've seen mentioned in this thread.  

I have had issues since getting my iPhone, mainly with my Apple Watch S8 (problems with the mobile data plan on the Watch). Still, every time I've called, I've been able to get my issues sorted (including confusion regarding the discount on my plan and changing the bill date etc.) expeditiously. The people helping me have all been lovely. 

I should also probably mention that I'm a new customer for the pay monthly contract (I bought a PAYG SIM Card from them a few years ago), but I don't see how that would impact things.

One final note, I've been using Android as my primary device since the HTC Desire and only just switched entirely to iPhone (but have had an iPhone 4s (which I had to sell), an iPhone 6s and an iPhone 8 alongside the Android devices, just as a side phone) so if there is anyone else in the same boat, I'd love to hear your experiences with the switch too.

I hope everyone who is still waiting gets their phone soon.

From my experience, if you order in-store, it will give you the best results as you'll be able to get the phone faster. Also, I received a tracking link after ordering, which gave me accurate updates until the dispatch date, but I had to check the site manually to get the latest info quicker, as the texts/emails seemed to be a bit slow to send.

I've been on android for 5 years or so. Gave up with Apple because of how fragile their devices were becoming. Gave the 14 Pro Max a go in an Apple store and was impressed by the build quality and display, so giving them another chance.

Coming from Pixel 6 Pro, which gets unreasonably hot doing simple tasks. Appears to be the result of a bad update, which is common with Google.

Interesting. I heard about some Apple devices being easier to break, but they seem to have fixed that with the 14 series. 

Oh wow, I thought the P6 Pro was supposed to be a great phone but didn't keep up to date with it after the release. And I thought Google had some of the best updates. 

I was using a OnePlus 9 Pro, and after hearing about some of their decisions, I decided to switch to another brand; then, when they announced the iPhone, I thought I'd give Apple another go. 

I have noticed some issues with this iPhone, but they're likely just software related and should be fixed soon. Overall, I love the new iPhone.

Yeah my last iPhone was the 6, and I'm sure I don't need to explain the issues with that. I loved my 4 though, it was practically indestructible. The recent iPhones seem to be borrowing some elements of the design.

The 6 Pro was great for a few months, but once again Google have a remarkable ability to introduce issues to previously fine phones through updates. I had the Pixel 4 before and actually ended up missing it. Without the display, I would go as far as calling it a downgrade. I just used it for a conference call on Teams and when I hung up it was baking hot.

Tbh, I didn't have many issues with the 6s; the only problem I have now is the battery is gone, and it's pretty slow, but at the time, I don't recall any significant issues. 

Yeah, I've noticed that trend too. I don't hate the decision; the 14 PM is beautiful.

Wow, that goes against everything you'd expect from Google, the people who create Android lol. Even my OP 9 Pro didn't get that hot unless I was doing something extreme like recording 8k or playing an intensive game.

I heard many good things about the Pixel 4 and 5 Series, so it's strange that they've worsened with the newer models.
