I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

Probably because they don’t expect people like this.

Yeah it's pretty clear that first come first serve wasn't really a thing for those online.

Hi what is an XKO number? I Pre Ordered the iPhone 14 Pro Max in the morning of the 15th of September, a bit late I know. However I was told that I would be receiving the phone on the 16th of September. I received an email confirming my order, however there was nothing about delivery. I realise that it could be delayed for up to 28 days, however if the XKO number is anything to do with tracking the delivery then ill have to get into contact with them again to ask why I haven't had this email as the last one I had was only to confirm the order, I've had nothing since.

An XKO number is what you get when you order online. This is generated once EE receive your initial order. However, if you order over the phone, you don’t get this.

Bit naughty of EE to tell you that you’re going to get it next day. Unfortunately that wasn’t going to happen due to demand.

Okay thank you, should I have received any email at all regarding delivery or even estimated delivery? I've had nothing apart from a Order Confirmation Email and information on my monthly plan.

That’s all I’ve recieved too. However, afte reading some of the comments on here, some people have revived email updates, text messages advising of delivery updates. I can’t even get the order tracker to accept my reference number. However I believe once your order has been picked at the warehouse, this triggers the next set of emails, website tracking info, etc. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m wrong.

Morning all, I ordered online on the 12th, paying £100 to upgrade early. When I placed the order it said I needed to call customer services to confirm the order which I did on the 13th. Got an xko number and an order confirmation, which says I should get the phone between 28th-30th September, however overnight I’ve randomly received a £100 refund from EE. I’ve not asked for it, and there’s been no email explain why, nor a change to the details on the order tracker. Any idea what the refund is for?

The same happened to me. Not sure, why.

Probably refunding it because they know they can't deliver those dates they've given 👀 Trying to keep you "happy".

But if that is the case, why show an EDD ? And I didn’t ask for a refund either. I have called them several times ever since my order, and they say its’s confirmed- I have both the XKO and OO2 numbers. Fingers crossed.
