I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

DPD are an absolute shower…

I got a notification at the crack of dawn that there’d been a delay with my order but they’d fixed it now and I would be updated on status soon.

The status has been like this literally all day. I’ve had absolutely nothing to say if they’re delivering today, tomorrow, or when the heck it’s coming.

This is not EE’s fault as they’d dispatched the phone on the 15th, but DPD are just absolutely useless. I’ve already paid the £6.95 for delivery and would now have to pay another £4.99 to shift the delivery to tomorrow on a guaranteed time slot between 11 am - 6 pm. Since I’ve had no update at all on the tracking though, I don’t even know if it’s wise wasting more money to try and guarantee delivery tomorrow. When there’s a big launch like this, your courier company need be on the bloody ball!

Screenshot of the app info included. I never did get the EE text with the time slot which EE claimed I would be getting. Oh and on DPD’s live chat just now I was 47th in the queue 😂🙄

Hey!  I remember you from the last time I followed these sordid preorder dramas during my last upgrade to the iPhone 12 Pro Max 2 years ago!  I distinctly remembered your 'Divine' avatar, coupled with that salacious 'tingle' name.  It feels like we're practically family!  Although I have to admit, every time I read your posts, the song 'you think you're a man' keeps on popping into my noggin!  Great Stuff!  I can officially announce that I am now in possession of my 14 pro max 1 TB, so with that, I shall sign off, and see y'all in another two years!  Till then, look after yourself, Divine!

Anyone who did anytime upgrade get instructions how to return their old device? Not got any package or anything yet dont want to be fined

I received my returns pack a few days after I ordered. But my returns email says if I don't return my phone by the 25th, I'll get a £630 charge on my account lol. Customer Service said I won't but they say a lot of things and it's not looking like I'll get my new phone anytime soon!

Haven’t received anything to do with my returns pack yet.

Does anyone know what the non return fee is on a 512GB 13 pro max? I could do with knowing so I know if I’m better off recycling or sending back to EE. Last year the recyclers paid more

  • So
  • Now original adviser spoke to this morning who said my order was out for delivery actually cancelled my order and put in a new order putting me in back of delivery.
  • A very helpful adviser has now sorted and said then when I ordered there already was a 4 week wait. He has put me back in my original place
