I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

I don't get why the go to for people that haven't received their phone is to slate EE and say that they're leaving, do people genuinely believe that every single network isn't the same on a launch day?
And the first come first served system is dependent on each model, so a 1TB in Deep Purple for example might not even have landed with the networks yet.
If people have been outright lied to then it's a slightly different matter, but a lot of sales staff are the same so they hit their targets and to believe that there is ever a guarantee is foolish in my opinion.

I got a bit of a squeaky bum when it came to transferring the eSim, didn't work for some reason so had to download a new one from my EE app. It's all online now, and thankfully the phone is unlocked so I can put my physical O2 work sim into the phone. Even the watch plan moved over and without getting that infuriating error message, usually I always have to call them to get the watch working again. We'll see how things go when I receive the new Ultra next week, I can't imagine that'll be as plain sailing!

I spoke to a very helpful EE customer service representative about my account. I wasn't chasing the iPhone, but they told me it would be delivered today. It's a pro max model. There doesn't seem to be any delay here. DPD are delivering it at 15.20. Happy days 🙂

@cctingle will you stop following me around 🤣 (Gaz)
Mine didn't work at all, had to request a new eSIM and activate it

Update: I called EE today about my 14 Pro Max and despite being told multiple times I would receive it on the 16th September its currently on backorder and they will send it when they have stock (no estimate of when this will be).
I found a 14 Pro in stock at the Apple store near me for collection tomorrow at 2pm so decided to cancel my order with EE and revert back to my sim only plan (which I am currently looking at replacing).
Looking through the terms EE can increase the plan by CPI+3.9%, does this mean in March 2023 when they increase the price the plan will go up by £13.8% (In my case £65 to £73.97) and then again in March 2024? (assuming CPI stays at current rates).

I think it's just upset because we pay a lot of money for these phones. But, personally, I didn't get mine today because of a mistake made when ordering via 150 so it was put down as a Saturday delivery. Won't be shouting at anybody, it's just one day and I have all my DPD/EE texts now anyway. I will, however, be writing a letter of praise for the man at 150 who got to the bottom of the 'why is it not coming today' saga.

I do agree, it’s to be expected. However when the website itself says delivering on launch date and it isn’t - that isn’t a sales rep- that is the website being blatantly wrong. And, if it is the case circumstances have changed then why haven’t all the customers been notified of this? Communication is key!

Couldn't agree more - I'm not upset that I didn't get my phone today, I'm upset that I only found out by phoning customer service and sitting on hold for 45 minutes instead of EE sending me an email to tell me that the order is delayed

Depend what they ordered. Somecolour storage option was available.
