I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

I don't imagine there's a huge commission in the iPhones around launch day as they know that  lots of people will order!

Probably higher incentives for the older variants, at best it'll drag up their stats.

I feel like they've used this tactic to try clear up orders after taking too many to what stock they have available!

They're calling me back at 12.30, currently investigating it. They best sort this, they don't want to deal with the wrath I'll give them.

No I won't "chill out", I don't appreciate being promised things by EE, for them to then **bleep** it up. They won't even hold any responsibility for their actions.

The chap told me they are out of their first batch so it's not coming tomorrow. I think you misunderstand, I'm totally OK with not getting it tomorrow. I'm going to get it eventually, so you're correct, it's not the end of the world. 

I can't say I'm not jealous of others however! 😂

Update: 

ordered 14PM black 256 about 4pm on 9th 

As said earlier about an hour ago live chat said it had been picked but can be shipped in 48 hours. 

didn’t receive any text messages apart from the email with account number at the time. 

Only got an 02 number after calling 150 earlier in the week 

just had DPD app notification come through saying delivery tomorrow!

Ouch, out of first batch but ordered at launch. it must be because I paid by credit card. Damn AMEX.

They are getting more in, but apparently Apple won't send an amount until they know how many have been sold, they go by how many people have signed in with an icloud account or something, so EE won't know until the weekend how many more and when they're getting the next batch
