I've done this a few times and thought it would be bad to break tradition, so wanted to create a thread for people to discuss their preorders etc as we all wait for our new iPhones.

Ordered the Pro Max 512GB deep purple over the phone, received a text with a link to the order tracker at 1.20pm on Friday. Really hope this order runs smoother than last year, didn’t receive my phone until November despite ordering in preorder week.

I still can’t track my order with the XKO number, should I be worried? 😞

I think usually you need a separate number for tracking. Mine starts with 002

I never got second tracking number. Spoke to someone on chat said order confirmed for Friday. Phone 150 been told as long as I have the XKO number order is confirmed, ok but I don’t have delivery date nowhere while when I ordered my 12 Pro back then I got the date with the email, got text the day after. Now nothing, stressful.

Same with me. I had 3 chat conversations and a call to 150. Just confirmed and that's how they told me. Just need to wait for when dpd will be updated, on Wednesday evening or Thursday. 

May the odd even be in our favours! 

I have got the black iPhone 13 Pro 256gb  and I upgraded to the iPhone 14 pro max 128gb deep purple. I had a 12 month contract and nothing has been said about returning the handset so I am selling it to cover the cost of the new handset which was £30 upfront fee. I ordered online 9/9/22 but I think I will call up to double check it’s confirmed, as I can’t trust my email alone. All the best with your big boy 1tb, I can’t wait to get my handset!

should I call up to confirm? I ordered on 9th online.

I paid my £30 with Apple Pay online too. I’m feeling like I should call up tomorrow to double check everything is ok.

Unless you are definitely out of contract, or within the period of the Anytime Upgrade where you don't have to pay anything otherr than the upfront cost,  you will be required to return the old handset.  You should confirm this with EE via 150 before doing anything, otherwise you'll be liable for whatever remains of the phone's cost when EE have found you haven't returned it.

Remember: the upfront cost is different from whatever you have on any remaining contract.  I suspect anybody getting that fee waived is purely at the discretion of EE.
