Upgrade Apple One Individual to family

Hi All! I just upgraded from PAYG to Full Works as this advertised including Apple One. I found that that's Apple One Individual, I was paying for Apple One Premier. Has anyone got the individual from EE and paid extra to make it Premier? I'm wondering if I should cancel the order and go back to the way I was - it sounded like I'd save money moving to full works, but not thinking otherewise!

I did exactly the same thing. Forgetting Apple One and Apple premier are two different things.

Hi James

I just committed to the Apple One tarrif with EE and a new iPhone 16 Pro then spotted this thread.

I would definitely want to upgrade to Premier as 50GB is not enough and I have four family members to add.

15 months have passed since you responded to this thread, is the upgrade path now available with EE or are we still stuck with the basic Individual account on this tariff?

If the latter, can I suggest training your sales team on this as they were unable to answer the question and if they had, it would have saved me the time I am now going to have to spend cancelling and re-ordering as apparently there is no quick way to take the Apple One component of the order.

Many thanks

Hi @TheAgent888

Thanks for coming to the community.

The iPhone plans include access to Apple One Individual subscription. Full details can be found in the Apple One Inclusive Extras Terms and Conditions page.

If you would like to discuss the order and what has been advised, please give us another call on 150.

Thanks.

Leanne.

Hi Leanne

Thank you for your response.

I read through the terms and conditions on that link and it makes no reference to my query, i.e. if it is possible to upgrade from the Apple Individual plan to Apple Premier when subscribed to the EE Apple One service.

Details of the three plans offered by Apple can be found here - https://www.apple.com/uk/apple-one/.

I appreciate this same question about upgrading the Apple plan was asked back in June 2023 (albeit it was the Family plan - the second in their range of three) and the answer was "no" at that time, however, I am interested to know if anything has changed at EE in the 15 months since and if so, what is now possible now in regards to upgrading the Apple plan when subscribed to the EE Apple One service.

I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you need further clarification.

Hi @TheAgent888

Thanks for the quick reply.

Apple One inclusive extra through EE is an individual subscription. There isn't an option to upgrade to a premier subscription.

Leanne.

I have a question. I am considering a full works iPhone plan myself and I already have a premier Apple one membership, the question I ask is, if I choose the Apple one add on for my EE contract term, will it save me the £18 odd on my Apple one membership which I buy from Apple?

Obviously you, EE, do not offer this upgrade but can I upgrade with Apple and keep the benefits of a premier subscription? Or will I be locked to an individual account and therefore there is very little worth in that perk to me, even though I am not being offered TNT as an option anyway… so it’s Apple one or nothing I guess…

@dillingerdan Welcome to the community.

While you have the Apple One subscription there is currently no option to upgrade to Apple One Premier via EE or through Apple directly.

Hi

Thanks for replying

I’m surprised that EE don’t look at this - you have additional lines on an account, perhaps some sort of family plan would go down well?

I pay for premiere, which is used by five people in my family, that means I’d never consider the all in one plans as they don’t give me (or anyone with a family) what we actually need..

thanks

Ian
