Satin Black’ Apple Watch ULTRA 2 - did you order one?

With all the chat around iPhone 16, Pro and Pro Max, I haven’t been able to find a thread for those who pre-ordered the ‘Satin Black’ Apple Watch ULTRA 2  So here is one! I was debating since the Apple Event on Monday if I should upgrade as I currently have the 1st Gen AWU and battery is still good (91%). Wasn’t expecting any updates this year for AWU since the 2 was released quite recently. However after seeing the Satin Black AWU2  it took me a few days to decide and I wasn’t  sure if EE would get the combo with the new style Milanese strap. It wasn't until Friday morning I was browsing and saw it and made an impulse purchase to upgrade! So glad I did. The more I see it the more I love it. And with EE coverage, I tend to rely on just the watch cellular to keep me updated with notifications when I am at work as my phone is locked away. No idea thou if I’ll get it for release day as tracking for new orders is only for handset devices so we’ll see.

Did any of you pre-order the ‘Satin Black’ Apple Watch ULTRA 2? If so what Apple Watch are you currently using (if any) and what made you go for this one?  As for me, i’m so excited for this watch. Cant wait! Love the  Watch ULTRA 👌🏾

Happy days!, noticed my plan has changed over today hope that I get some sort of tracking soon as my new plan is more month then my old one not paying more for something every month that I don’t even have yet

I,m upgrade my AW6 to the new black AWU22 with the ML band.  I ordered it on the evening of Sunday September 15.  I received the xko number that evening followed by an order confirmation number the following Tuesday, 17 September.   The order tracker has now been stuck on “Awaiting Confimation” since then.

My wife ordered the new AW10 the same day and only has an xko number.

Is there supply chain problems affecting EE?

maybe that is the trick lol. order the AW and APU with a mind to cancel the EE order then EE rock up with the desired apple watches 😄 😄

Where are you going to - to check the status of your Watch order? I go to the app and orders, enter my order ref in and it comes back they can’t track this order!

Just checked my plan it’s change over as well. But I can’t check the order status as the app can only track phone orders! Nothing on DPD app either! 

Did you get a text notification your order was arriving today or did it just show up?

I ordered on the 11th, got a txt from DPD last night and nothing from EE

See this is why EE are in such a mess with their pre-orders. None of them know what’s going on. I had an advisor categorically tell me pre-orders for the Watch started on the 13th same as the phone and that NO ONE would have been able to order sooner! 
So me ordering on the 13th was actually days after a lot of order went in. I’ll call EE tomorrow to apply a credit to my account. No way I’m paying more for a product I have t received!

*UPDATE* 

Watch arrived today but I couldn’t get it because I had no pin and wasn’t even aware of it as the details were text to the Watch number not my account number! DPD attempted delivery yesterday as well! Spoke to EE who resent the details to my account number. Now have the pin but it looks like delivery will be tomorrow when I’m back at work so will have to take time off to be in for it! 

I'm happy it’s arriving a lot earlier than expected but **bleep** EE how ridiculously incompetent can a company be with yearly Apple releases. You would have thought by now they have learned and smoothed their processes out year on year but nope! Every year feels like the first time them releasing Apple products. More unpaid time now taken off work to be in for a botched up delivery! 
So another complaint will go in tomorrow to them!
