New iPhone 16 upgrade- no network

Upgraded and did the phone sets up when it arrived. Everything fine except no network connection at all. Tried everything and nothing happens . Any ideas?

update - just got off the phone to EE after 30 mins or so. very helpful and solved the issue.

had to activate a new e-sim for the new phone and go through the routes folowing that. but it worked. 

thank you for your efforts and help

Can you be a bit more specific about what "tried everything" means... what exactly have you tried so far?

Does the phone have a SIM in it? Assuming you have a physical SIM, have you moved it from your old phone to your new phone?

hi, put my old sim in the new phone. no new sim with new phone. old one - 14 . new one 16. 

yes, i googled and did all the options said

turning off and on, turning airplane mode off and on, manually selecting network in the settings. 

but nothing.
