I’ve just got an Apple Watch and I can’t work which monthly plan that I need to have to use it! I have been with ee for years and have had a rolling monthly plan subscription for years and have been very happy but now this is all completely new and I’m hopeless with such technology and understanding the jargon!!!

@Rachel_T  if you have a cellular Apple Watch (not from EE ) just open the watch app and you can select a watch tariff for it.  You’ll only be presented with one watch tariff and that’s £7 per month on a 30 day rolling contract and you’ll get 10Gb of data just for the watch.  Your call and text allowance from your phone contract can be used on the watch

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks for your help. It doesn’t give me the option at all to select a watch tariff but I really do appreciate you taking your time to help me out. Thanks 🤩

@Rachel_T   Is it a cellular Apple Watch?  and you need to be a contact customer to have a cellular watch on contact.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Yes it is a cellular one. I knew I would have to be on a contract but I was hoping that somewhere on the website I could set it up without phoning EE as I find it difficult to use the phone due my deafness! I might just bite the bullet and give them a call to set a contract plan up and hope I can hear and the line is okay.

As @Chris_B  says, open the apple watch app on your iPhone  and select Set up Mobile Data.

What happens when you do that?

https://ee.co.uk/help/mobile/smart-watches/set-up-my-apple-watch#article-heading-4

It just goes onto another page and states:

You need to be on an EE Pay Monthly phone plan or Phone Sim Only Plan to be able to add an Apple Watch Subscription on to your account

I knew that I would need to change my phone plan but I thought that they might be a place somewhere to change the plan online on EE website.

I’ll just phone them to organise a monthly contract plan

Hi @Rachel_T

I'm sorry that you are having trouble with getting the watch plan set up.

Is your current SIM plan on a pay monthly contract or is it a pay as you go monthly pack?

Michael

It’s on a pay monthly contract.

I did phone over the weekend and it didn’t sound like there would be a problem to connect the watch to the iPhone.

Just to be sure here @Rachel_T, do you get bills each month for your plan, or is it just a recurring card payment?

Also if you log into your account via the app and select the option to add an extra SIM, does it give you any options?
Don't add anything here, but it should let you know right away if you're eligible.
