where as i think its more linked to apple so I'm stuck with a brick until i can connect my my phone to iCloud and transfer my android data over.

has anyone had much luck with this ?

If you can choose to set up later in Settings, select that and then download the EE App on the new iPhone. If you sign in to the EE App on the new device you can request an eSIM Replacement using your new device and it should allow you to download it to it.

In the EE App on the new iPhone go to Profile (top right) > Settings and permissions > Manage settings > scroll down to Replace my SIM/eSIM > choose the number you want replaced > choose "eSIM - Instant download".

This will send a verification text to the SIM in your old android device and you should then be able to continue to download the eSIM profile on your new device. This will naturally deactivate the old SIM as part of the process, as your number can't exist on more than one device.

Any issues feel free to follow up, or let us know if it works!

Hello @Ghostx01 ,

Welcome to the community,

Did you not put your old phone close to the new one and transfer everything that way? It does work a treat, not sure about doing it via ICloud, I have always done mine by having both the old and new phone near and just let it transfer everything over, so no messing about.

To contact EE customer service dial 150 from your mobile phone or ring customer service for free using web based app or another phone: +44 800 079 8586 or +44 800 956 6000.

Were you not able to transfer your data from your Android device using Apple's "Move to iOS" app from the Play Store?

Or do you mean you can't get signed into your iCloud Account? If you've not used it for a while you may need to do a password reset or contact Apple Support.

yeah basically I transferred my android data to using the app and then put me though the apple account screen , as i had an iphone 3 years ago i was a iphone user before then for a long while so  i gathered it might pick up my data where i left off etc.

but after checking it seemed to be an issue not letting people get past something about verification ?

i have just tried it recently and appeared to work fine . but now its asking me to activate my esim but i dont have a qr code or anything to activate it . i would assume i would need to wait to call ee in the morning to activate the esim transfering from android to iphone

Hi @Ghostx01,

Welcome to the EE Community

Yes following @Matt_124's advice will allow you to transfer the SIM and number on your current device to your new iPhone. As mentioned when you are selecting to replace the SIM, it will ask you which number you are wanting a new SIM for.
