@Coot114 , I would definitely ring customer service to make sure that the number i still in your name and that they send you a new Sim card, which will be sent out by first class mail, they can then block the other one and you will receive a new serial number with your sim card.

Is your SIM working in your old phone.
There is no reason other than new new devices is locked or reported stolen to explain why the SIM would not work.

Please do not just write your query in the subject line, but in the box below it.
So once you put your SIM card back in your old phone, it did not work? It looks like there either is a problem with the network where you are, or the SIM card has a fault.
Have you tried wiping the SIM card before putting it in your phone and made sure that it is the right way up?
You would otherwise have to request a replacement SIM card either online or by going to an EE high street store with an up to date photo ID.
