  • My BT contract came up for renewal and I’ve been switched to EE. Ever since then (it’s been a month now) I have been unable to send emails, although I can still receive them. No one on the tech teams on the helpline has been able to solve this. They said they would call back within 3 days but they didn’t. On the BT website page I get a red warning message to say that I’m not the registered account holder and my iPhone keeps giving me pop up messages saying “unable to send messages they passwords don’t match” 

I am hoping that someone out there might be able to help???

I am sorry to hear you are having some issues sending e-mails and did not get a promised callback. 

Is your e-mail address an @btinternet.com one? If you have left BT Broadband then your BTInternet address would be moved to a basic e-mail address. 

Have you tried accessing and sending e-mails from webmail by logging into your e-mail inbox on Secure Authentication (bt.com) and does it work sending from there? 

Is it BT tech support who you have been phoning regarding this issue?

Who is your email provider? What have you put as the Outgoing Server settings (all of them) in your Mail app, obscuring your name?

Hello again. 
2 people replied to my query regarding the fact that since being put onto EE I can no longer send emails (although can receive them) 

But I can’t find where to go on here to reply to these responses… and … I can’t email them because I CANT SEND EMAILS!!! That’s the problem!!! I don’t know whether to laugh or cry!!!

BT is my internet provider 

I can’t send emails on the BT webpage either, it is not coming up with a button that says “compose “ 

my iPhone keeps telling me my password is incorrect
