My Apple desktop iMac stopped connecting to Apple Email, on 22nd June.
But my iPad and Laptop do connect.
However, Apple have looked into this (extensively), and say it is a network issue, not an Apple Mail issue, as they found other problems with my connection (doing a screen mirror connection).
Apple Mail Connection Doctor says:
... Could not connect to this SMTP server
... Could not connect to this IMAP server.
Did anything change at EE, at the end of June?
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks, RE

@rojellis If the other devices work then the Mac should work. Try signing out of the Mac and restart the device then sign back in. It’s not an EE issue it’s an Apple iCloud issue. The proof is the other device work via EEs network. Be that cellular or WiFi or Ethernet.

Thanks.
I restarted the desktop in Apple safe mode, and it still did not work.
The reason it may be an EE issue, is my brand new Laptop was giving the same connection error message as the Desktop used to do (before it stopped working completely). And Apple were having connection problems with screen sharing (a different App than Mail).
There is an incompatibility here, somewhere.

@rojellis
Are you able to try the email on your laptop while connected to a non-EE WIFI service to see if it works or still get the same error?
