Cannot connect phone to wifi

I have an iPhone 8 and noticed in the last month I cannot connect to Wi-Fi. The on/off slide button is greyed out.

Has anyone got an idea why?

Welcome to the community.

Have you had a look to see if there is a software update available for the phone in Settings > General > Software Update.

The iPhone 8 doesn't support the latest updates, but it is always worth making sure it is on the latest available one.
