Hi I would like to buy a brand new sealed iPhone 12 off a private seller who has had it about a week. It is on EE network. So is it locked to this network or could I put another network sim in it? If it’s locked to EE how much and how do I go about getting it unlocked? Thanks

Hi @Rgh2
EE own the device for the first 6 months so the owner will be beaching their contract in selling it.
Second point is search the forums as buying from Facebook, gumtree, eBay (new seller) or any online marketplace at an unbelievable deal will leave you scammed when they block the device after 2-3 months (depending on payment) and vanish. You have no ownership or fallback rights with EE.
Be warned.
Thanks
