Apple Watch Ultra not allowing setup of data plan

When I go in to the watch app and to mobile data and try to tap set up mobile service, this is greyed out and gives me the following message:

This Apple Watch does not support EE mobile service in this region. Apple Watch can only be used with mobile plans that are certified by your network provider, and for your region. Visit https://www.apple.com/uk/watch/cellular for more information about Apple Watch mobile plans.

anyone seen this before?

@boosterbosch  Where did you get this watch from ?  

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Been on with apple support who asked for EID and ICCID number. Concluded that EE needed to finish the cellular setup. Now trying with EE

The customer service on the phone for EE is absolutely amazing but the apps and the online stuff is so terrible it never works, always mistakes.

 

can’t set up my Apple Watch ultra been waiting hours. So frustrating 

 

did anyone find a fix?

Which error code are you seeing?

This is all I am seeing and on my Apple ultra watch under Mobile data Plan is greyed out as is status which states no connection. 

on my phone after pressing set up mobile service I get this:

Your Apple Watch plan is still activating. It usually takes up to 4 hours to activate. To check if you are activated please go to >My Watch App > Mobile Data. If the Watch App still shows activating, you are almost there!

If Watch App doesn't show as activating, we need to help finish the setup. Call us on 150 with code 030.

You can carry on using your phone while the activation is in progress. Click finish to close this page.
