Will EE support International Roaming in the EU if I have the roam abroad smart benefit pass?

Hi Jay,

Unfortunately not.

Read earlier posts on this discussion page and you'll see there's quite of few of us in the same situation than you.

EE says it's coming but we have no clue if they are serious and how long we have to wait. Meanwhile, we keep paying them for international roaming and apple watch plans for only limited functionality.

Let EE know how you feel here and on social media. They're taking the p...!

@marcpuricelli  Your not paying to roam with the watch that’s just the phone.  When EE do allow such a thing I wouldn’t be surprised if your roaming pass for the phone doesn’t include the watch as they are separate contracts.    Also what limited functionality as you can roam with the phone and the watch gets a cellular data in the UK as that’s what your tariff was sold to you as.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Thanks, Chris. Very nuanced and balanced as usal. I guess Vodafone, O2, and others disagree.

EE seems to agree too as it's coming, apparently. Let's just hope it's not in 2035!

I will be cancelling my watch contract if this is not implemented for when I’m in Europe in February. It was only added with the understanding it would work amazingly EE technical spent a full day trying to get this to work for me in Vienna!!

LOL. I know. It happens every time. Their customer support and social media team doesn't know they don't support it. Everytime I deal with them they ask the same silly questions about pairing/unpairing, resetting the watch plan, etc. Complete waste of time, and then, after 2 hours, they realize it's not supported. It's actually kind of funny how bad they are with this.

Yes I totally agree with you I think EE is a good company but this has let them down badly especially as they are selling a service that just doesn’t work !

Hi EE Moderators,

It's pretty obvious just how excited many of your customers are getting about this topic!
Can I ask you to confirm please that you are escalating this issue to your management and not just fobbing everybody off with "we don't knows"?

Thanks Barry

Hi @bcomerford

This has been fed back to the relevant team.

Details will be made available via ee.co.uk and our retail channels when this is available.

Thanks.

Leanne.

This is so lame. It’s so obvious that you don’t really care about this subject and the customers impacted by your slow and irrelevance.
