Apple Watch No Connection error

My Apple Watch is connected to my mobile but says no connection within the mobile data section on my watch. I’ve tried to restart both but still the same issue. Any ideas how to resolve as I’ve tried everything suggested?

@A1mee  Have you turned off cellular on the watch ?  

I turned it off and on again to try to get it to connect but still says no connection even though it’s turned on with EE as my carrier

Unfortunately, it has never connected properly, only via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth with my phone.

I called EE when I first got my new watch and tried what they suggested but I didn’t hear back from them.
