Adding Apple Watch to phone plan

I’m keen to add the SE 3 4G paired plan to my existing EE iPhone plan however this option doesn’t make sense, i obviously want to keep my number but why do I need a new sim? I already have an eSIM for my phone. Apologies it’s just very confusing. I spoke to someone on the phone and they said for cellular + gps watch I need to select the paired plan.

@Jesslydon22  Ok,  you need to select “no get a new  number”.      This number is just for the watch

The watch has its own number for data and billing purposes but is linked at account level so when your phone rings the watch will also ring.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

@Jesslydon22  You do need to select the paired plan.
The option you’ve shown is for when you are moving from a different network to EE.

I did select the paired plan, but it still gives me this option regarding my number.

So when I pair the watch with my phone and then set up mobile service, this will have my current iPhone number?

Hi @Jesslydon22

Thanks for coming to our community.

It looks like @Chris_B has given you some great advice so far.

Yes, once paired, the watch would be set up to receive calls and texts from your current iPhone number.
