my account has been closed without me knowing no letter nothing

i cant believe this EE has just closed my account without telling me, the last time i talked to ee i specifically said i want my number back which ive had for over 15 years! THAT IS MY PROPERTY I WANT IT BACK. im registered as a vunerable person with severe mental disabilities due to frontal lobe damage to my brain so im not very good at reading emails, i can just about understand text messages which EE knows about,and i think my email address is full up, i didnt even receive a letter through the post because if i did i would of done  something about it! i specifically said i wanted my number,ive had that number for over 15 years EE didnt even call me, THEY HAVE GOT RID OF MY NUMBER! ITS MY PROPERTY this is a form of stealing! they knew i wanted it back, why didnt EE send me a letter in the post i would of thought if they were going to close my account they would of sent a letter automatically. EE you havent heard the last of this , im going to start legal proceedings ,you have taken MY property and that is illegal, again if i knew they were going to close my account i would of had the oppotunity to retrieve my number,the last agent reassured me that my number will be safe, so EE have lied to me aswell.

I understand how important your number is to you and I'll do my best to help you with this. 

Is your number a contract or pay as you go number? Do you know why it has been cancelled and how long ago it happened?

@4130rider  You don’t own that number it’s not your property.   The number belongs to the network and you have the right to use it provided you use it.  EE text you to say when a number is going in to hibernation for lack of use you then have time to make a chargeable action ie call/text.
