Voicemail alert no longer contains link to message-has anyone found a solution?

I note that there are a few threads regarding this subject going back 15 months or so. I have spoken to 150 and there's no known diagnostic for this apparently. I was wondering if anyone else had found a solution?

Call voicemail from your phone as normal, if you have new messages they will be automatically played.
